Putting a price on carbon is a key strategy among others to reduce emissions and fund projects aimed at slowing climate change. It must not be repealed. The current government does not have a mandate to cancel this legislation.
It is a travesty that politicians who do not know, understand, or appreciate the science behind climate change choose to make rash decisions that will have devastating long term effects on our planet in the name of making a name for themselves by dictatorial means.

Please do not cancel this bill. Climate change is not something that is coming, it is happening right now. Ontario needs to participate in mitigating the effects. We cannot deny it anymore and pull out of agreements like this.
As a concerned citizen, I am perplexed by the Conservative government's plans to cancel the Cap and Trade program. The program was working well under the Liberal government. It was a win-win situation for both consumers and business partners.
