I believe it would be foolish to repeal the Cap and Trade program at this time. We need to make serious changes as a society to address the crisis of climate change. Putting a price on carbon, and continuing to lower emissions limits has been proven to reduce GHG emissions in other jurisdictions. Read more

I am in favour of maintaining the Cap and Trade program initiated by the previous government. We have seen that implementing a carbon tax makes a difference in reducing emissions and when the money is spent directly supporting citizens and communities, it is an effective plan. Read more

Please do not scrap carbon pricing. Our future depends on it. Every day, I worry about what the future of the world will look like for my children. Increasing heat waves, forest fires, and droughts, are becoming the norm in Ontario, Canada, and the world. Read more

First, one must believe there really is such a thing as climate change. In my view, the current government in Ontario does not. I would suggest that Bill 4 is all smoke and mirrors. This is a Bill that cancels Cap and Trade, a program that was effective. Read more

Please don`t cancel the Cap And Trade program. I agree that it is not perfect - but it is something. Something that can be improved by your government. As the IPCC report revealed we have 12 years - 3 election cycles - to do something. Please don`t waste 4 years of doing nothing. Read more
