Why consultation isn't required
This is notice of the amendment to Renewable Energy Approval No. 8541-9HSGG3 for Grimsby Energy Incorporated, and the right to require a hearing in respect of this decision.
We consider this an administrative amendment and do not expect it to have any significant impact on the environment. Therefore, public consultation is not required.

Upon review of the existing facility information, we determined that the operation is not primarily agricultural and digested output material cannot be considered agricultural source material. As such we amended the Renewable Energy Approval No. 8541-9HSGG3 for the Grimsby Energy Incorporated anaerobic digester.
This Class 3 anaerobic digestion facility, known as the Grimsby Energy Incorporated anaerobic digester, is located at 424 Sobie Road, Town of Grimsby, Region of Niagara.

Any resident of Ontario may require a hearing by the Environmental Review Tribunal within 15 days after the date this decision is loaded to the Environmental Registry by written notice served upon all of the following:

An applicant for a hearing shall state in the notice requiring the hearing, (a) a description of how engaging in the renewable energy project in accordance with the renewable energy approval will cause, (i) serious harm to human health, or (ii) serious and irreversible harm to plant life, animal life or the natural environment; (b) the portion of the renewable energy approval in respect of which the hearing is required; and (c) the relief sought.
