Why consultation isn't required
On October 8, 2019 we amended Renewable Energy Approval No. 4501-9VJK3N, now held by ZooShare Biogas Development Inc., as general partner for and on behalf of ZooShare BioGas LP, was amended.
The purpose of the posting is to inform you of the amendment and your right to require a hearing in respect of this decision.
We consider this proposal an administrative amendment and do not expect it will have any significant impact on the environment. Therefore, public consultation is not required.
Bulletin details
We amended existing Renewable Energy Approval number No. 4501-9VJK3N to change the owner and operator to ZooShare Biogas Development Inc., as general partner for and on behalf of ZooShare BioGas LP.
This Class 3 Anaerobic Digestion Facility, known as the Toronto Zoo Compost Facility, is located in the City of Toronto. The facility has a total expected generation capacity of 0.5 megawatts and will operate 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.

An applicant for a hearing shall state in the notice requiring the hearing, (a) a description of how engaging in the renewable energy project in accordance with the renewable energy approval will cause, (i) serious harm to human health, or (ii) serious and irreversible harm to plant life, animal life or the natural environment; (b) the portion of the renewable energy approval in respect of which the hearing is required; and (c) the relief sought.
