As a private landowner I value the Managed Forest Tax Incentive Program (MFTIP).
Without it I wouldn't have been able to afford to keep the land in forest.
The management requirements and appraiser advice have resulted in a healthier and sustainable forest.
Please, do not weaken this program.
I strongly support Ontario’s intention to implement a new Forest Sector Strategy (FSS). Ontario’s forest are well managed and in good health. However, without a clear vision and strategy, the many benefits available to Ontarians from its crown forests will never be realized.
