Why consultation isn't required
On April 1, 2020, the Ontario Government made a temporary regulation to respond to the COVID-19 outbreak. Ontario Regulation 115/20 exempts all proposals for policies, acts, regulations and instruments from posting requirements under the EBR until 30 days after the declared emergency is terminated.
Proposal details
This proposal is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval, with an option for Limited Operational Flexibility, to be issued to Frontier Lithium Inc.
This proposal is for the installation of an industrial sewage works from an open pit bulk sample and pilot plant. The works are for the collection, transmission, treatment and disposal of sewage, in support of a proposed Lithium Advanced exploration at 175 km north of the Town of Red Lake, District of Kenora, Ontario.
The works consist of a low permeability containment facility to store water and with dewatering bags containing tailings, water treatment plant and pumping system, a water pond to manage process water, mine water and stormwater, discharging into Flanagan River, within the Whiteloon Lake Watershed, in accordance with established effluents limits.
