Why consultation isn't required

On April 1, 2020, the Ontario Government made a temporary regulation to respond to the COVID-19 outbreak. Ontario Regulation 115/20 exempts all proposals for policies, acts, regulations and instruments from posting requirements under the EBR until 30 days after the declared emergency is terminated.

Proposal details

This proposal is for an amendment to the existing Permit No. 8342-B8HK9Y to support Penguin-Calloway (Vaughan) Inc. Project for dewatering activities related to a proposed construction at 175 Millway Avenue, in Vaughan, Ontario.

This amendment is being requested to increase the temporary construction water taking from the current 528,900 L/day to 3,550,000 L/day. There are four (4) sources of taking (drilled wells) for construction dewatering and the details of water taking are as follows:

  • period of water taking: 4 years
