I support the proposed extension of the moratorium on the Environmental Registry of Ontario. I really like the idea that municipalities would have the opportunity to vote on the taking of water (or other resources) before a company would be granted access.
I very strongly support the proposed extension of the moratorium on the Environmental Registry of Ontario and that all the necessary items are fully covered.
I do not want to fill our land with garbage from plastic water bottles and feel Canada should have complete control of of Canada's water!

I support the six-month extension of the moratorium on water bottling permits, ending April 1, 2021. I urge the Ontario government to a study carefully water resources use in Ontario and ensure these important resources to life and health are protected and used sustainably.
I am in favour of this proposal! Our water is important to our communities and should not be for sale to companies such as Nestle who are destroying our home and our health. Please consider not selling our water at all however, for now, 6 months half on this decision is absolutely necessary.

I fully support extending the present moratorium on water bottling.
Water IS life and groundwater must be retained, protected and used primarily for agricultural purposes and direct, e.g. residential wells, consumption NEVER for bottling.
Ontario’s water is not a limitless resource, and the bottled water industry has to stop. They do not have any interest other than profit. It is bad for the environment to continue to sell water in plastic bottles.
As a resident of Ontario, please accept my comment in favour of extending the moratorium on new or increased permits for water bottling companies. Thank you.

Water companies should purchase water from our world class municipality water plants at a rate that cities wish to charge. water is a very limited resource. Also in Canada no one really needs bottled water, what a waste of plastic, and resources, and garbage in our lakes and lands.

Sorry, should have add this to my original comment ... https://www.npr.org/2020/09/11/897692090/how-big-oil-misled-the-public-into-believing-plastic-would-be-recycled further eason to eliminate bottled water.
I support extending the moratorium on water bottling permits to April, 2021. Furthermore, I oppose the approval of any new or expanded water bottling permits in the Province of Ontario in perpetuity.

I am in favour of extending the moratorium on bottling of groundwater. Further, because I do not support the water resources of my community being taken out of our community for profit, I would want to see such a moratorium become permanent.
The moratorium should be extended to allow for more time to research and consult on the effects of taking groundwater for bottling, particularly ahead of a comprehensive single use plastics ban
Take some responsibility for environmental impact and stop extending this moratorium! This water should be prioritized for home access, not for corporate profit. And maybe consider giving clean water access to Six Nations? COME ON. It's 2020. Water is a human right.

I submit extending the moratorium indefinitely or for as long as possible. Surface water and ground water should be for the local communities first, and must be managed sustainably.

Please amend to the Ontario Water Resources Act so it would require water bottlers to have support of a host municipality when applying for a new permit to take water. It is morally right that the local municipality has a large voice in any decision regarding of the use of their sole water source.
