Proposal details

McEwen Ontario has submitted a certified amendment to the Black Fox Mine Closure Plan, for filing. The amendment proposes expansion of the mine into the Froome Deposit, which is estimated to contain 827,000 tons of ore production. Production at Froome is planned to occur within 12 months of the project’s commencement. It is estimated that steady state production of 1500 tonnes per day will occur in the second quarter of 2021 focusing on the high grade areas of the deposit. To reach the Froome Deposit 8,500 metres of lateral development is required, this includes the 1.0 kilometer ramp from the Black Fox pit to the deposit.
