I suggest reinstating the provincial Greenlands program which provided 50% leveraged funding to conservation authorities and charitable land trusts to secure important properties within the proposed Greenbelt. The program ended in 2012, I believe. Read more

Make new buildings and old buildings retrofit solar panels to take strain off the grid. And for clean energy. Trees to filter along the sides of highways to stop snow drifts. When renovating highways roads put in underpasses for the wildlife to pass. Read more

Please protect the greenbelt and the rest of our natural beauty as much as possible. The future of our children/grandchildren need to be given some thought. There is a healthy balance to be struck between development and protecting our resources.

Expanding the greenbelt is laudable. However, it should not be used as an excuse to push through development of a useless expressway that travels through and damages important watershed sources in the existing greenbelt. The belt should be expanded WITHOUT the GTA West expressway tit-for-tat.

As a resident of the Golden horseshoe area and an avid outdoors person I can see the devastation that expansion causes it's extremely important to preserve much of our green belt and wildlife areas not only for wildlife but for ourselves. Read more

Ontario does not want this. As in the citizens who live here and who pay your salary. This is a transparent act meant to ameliorate friends of the Government. If you move forward with this, it will be yet another nail in the coffin of your re-election. Read more
