I don't know how to grow the Greenbelt but I do know that doing so is a very important thing and future generations will be grateful that we did. Let's get this right!

I strongly agree with protecting the Greenbelts in Ontario. I believe no wetlands forests rivers or any other natural habitat should be touched.
They need laws to protect them for the future. Once these lands are developed we can’t get them back.

I am totally shocked when I saw the PC Provincial Government is doing “Consultation on growing the size of the Greenbelt.” The previous Liberal Government passed the intensification plan on limiting city growth and the PC Government did not overturn this policy when they were voted to government.

In addition to the current priorities, I strongly urge the Ontario Government to prioritize restoring and protecting freshwater resources for indigenous peoples such as Six Nations. It is a travesty that anyone living in Canada does not have reliable and affordable access to potable water.

Make the government respect the authority of the TRCA and similar organizations.
Stop Doug Ford from bringing in legislation that overrides municipality planning.

Please do not expand and encroach on Ontario's greenbelt. Leave it to thrive in it's natural glory. It cannot be given back and our future depends on this beautiful, ecological and important landscape.
Sustaining the Greenbelt and expanding will be a legacy to the governments ability to take a stand for the future of our children and grandchildren to enjoy all that we have preserved for them.
Clean drinking water and local fresh food should be a priority.
