As a concerned resident of Guelph, I am asking that you expand the Greenbelt to include the whole of the Paris-Galt Moraine, as well as the urban river valleys through Guelph. I would like you to add the south end of Guelph, known as the Clair-Maltby area, into the expanded areas of the Greenbelt.

I am in favour of the preservation and expansion of the existing greenbelt. My concern is that insufficient amount of permeable land will affect water flow, increase the risk of flooding, impact our sources of fresh water and affect the value of our houses.

It is a good idea to expand the Greenbelt, however it should be expanded in areas of scientific concern. It is suspicious that the Greenbelt's boundaries stop along the borders of the County of Brant.

Many communities and individuals rely on the groundwater of the Galt Paris Moraine for their drinking water. This precious resource must be protected at all costs.

With all due respect the Greenbelt is more than big enough.
It has caused undue negative influences on lands that could have been developed and they would have had marginal or negligible impact.
The Study Area is not big enough. We need to protect the whole Grand River Watershed from Dundalk to Lake Erie. Several municipalities get their drinking water from the Grand River watershed, so it is vital for future generations that we protect their drinking water.

I would love to see growth of the greenbelt around the urban watershed (rivers and streams that feed Lake Ontario).
The health of these rivers and streams is important to the health of the surrounding lands and the health of the biodiversity that exists in the GTHA.
