I would like to have the agency consider protecting the Doris McCarthy Trail and the Sylvan Trail and park. The property owners abutting the Doris McCarthy Trail are removing trees from their land and this could potentially adversely affect erosion and the beauty of the area. Read more

Growing the size of the Greenbelt should recognize a goal of a protecting a broad functioning connected area from Toronto to Ottawa. In the immediate term, areas should be identified through Northumberland, Peterborough and Hastings Counties connecting to the Canadian Shield.

Please reconsider commencing the start of this new highway. We must protect the environment and the local green lands. Myself and many others are opposed to this, so please take into consideration the thoughts and beliefs of those who reside in the area. Thank you very much! Dan

I just wanted to write to express my strong support for saving and expanding our Green belt. The time of destroying nature and animals for corporate profit is over - preserving these spaces is more important than corporate profit...its for all of Canada.

The imperative for healthy nature has never been stronger. The evidence for access to nature, especially for urban folks, has never been more timely to enhance mental and emotional health. I totally favour systematically increasing and enhancing the Greenbelt. The Greenbelt is a Gem of Ontario.

Please work to grow the green belt. We need green spaces more than ever in this era of the destruction of nature. Once paved over, these places of beauty and wonder are gone forever. Please do the right thing for people, nature and future generations
