The Rouge River upstream of Rouge National Urban Park and Duffin’s Creek are key areas for restoration and enhanced protection and connectivity.
The is much more public support for outdoor spaces with the pandemic. People have a greater understanding of what green spaces do-protect our environment and our mental health. Now is the time to increase this space and make green spaces available for people to enjoy near major urban centres.
Preserving green space and the greenbelt is imperative for the future of the next generation. Everywhere I look I see new homes and buildings being erected and the green space being diminished.

We need far more protected wetlands and farmland in Ontario than we currently have. Protect farms and wetlands, and quit building highways and stop putting housing developments on this land!
I am very concerned about the north shore of Rice Lake, which forms part of the Trent system, and has numerous watersheds draining into it. It is an area of outstanding natural and unspoiled beauty, with the diverse flora and fauna of the Oak Ridges moraine.

Hello. Our Greenbelt definately needs to be expanded. With business trying to takeover our green wildlife spaces, there is nothing more crucial than to save, as much as, we can, so our future generations will be able to enjoy them, too.

This green belt should be respected and expanded as much naturally as possible. Big development took advantage of the availability of land in Milton and did a tremendous injustice to the green belt. Please do not allow this to continue. We,re losing precious land and natural resources.

I see no reason to expand the spread of housing inOntario when densification options have not been explored. To reduce any boundary of the Green Belt should not be considered. We are in a climate crisis, right? If you’re considering massively enlarging the Green Belt? Now you’re talking!
We need to preserve our province for future generations. Otherwise we will have continuous housing and development from Windsor to Cornwall and very little wildlife or recreation areas. Animals and plants need habitat conservation; humans need access to unspoilt nature and land.
