I have concerns with this proposal because it puts too much power in decision making with the Minister. Development should have oversight and consultation from different lenses to ensure proper planning takes place for the long term wellbeing of Ontarians.

Please reconsider this proposal. Placing revenues/profit before preservation of nature and our environment is short term and not viable over the long term. We need to protect our natural resources including land to ensure there is a future for our children.

Making a law to retroactively stop MZOs from ever being challenged in court is a serious overreach and a breach of democratic principles. There is no way the provincial government should be allowed to override local municipal planning and the will of local councils and citizens. Read more

This is an extremely dangerous idea. The planning act is put in place, in part, to protect very fragile and important ecosystems. Reducing regulations that protect our environment in favor of corporate interests is cruel and unjust. Read more
