I do not understand how any one government can change the rules so that their specific vision runs rampant. Each government is given a limited tenure. The arrogance required to think that you can run roughshod over environmental protections is disheartening.

You must remove Schedule 3 from Bill 257. Our natural spaces and habitats must be protected. Any government that abuses power in this way will never get another mandate.

The use of MZO to override existing protections of wetlands and other environmentally sensitive is contrary to the intent with which these were established. Wetlands are critical to the maintenance of water quality and flood plains.

I am saddened but not surprised that this government is still pushing to increase its planning power by abusing Minister’s zoning orders. The proposal suggests that they can be used to protect the environment. Please provide one example of when this was done in the past.
