It is clear that the environment in Ontario is currently at risk from encroachments by development. While economic viability is important in this province, destroying any vulnerable areas in the interest of acquiring industry and jobs is not justifiable. Read more

Natural spaces must be legally protected for the well-being of all living things. Human and non-human. If you like potable water nature needs protecting. If you like clean air, nature needs protecting. If flooding and erosion are to be mitigated it needs protecting. Read more

This is an abuse of power. Our lands, the species that call them home and environmental benefits from them are gone once it's dug up and paved over. It is unacceptable that it is happening and that the people in power are changing the law so that the lands cannot be held accountable.

I am appalled by the proposed legislation. In 2021 we should recognize that development at any cost in the end costs all of us. We cannot have a healthy economy without a healthy environment and healthy people. Ministerial Zoning Orders should be used with great discretion. Read more
