The site as operated today is already violating the permitted uses under the ARA and ORMCP/A, 2017 by having installed an illegal contractor’s yard, bringing fill to the site and operating an Asphalt plant for which crushed concrete is trucked in. Read more

This cannot be allowed to proceed. As I understand the contract requires Miller to return the land to original state. They accepted so what is the issue? We do not need the rejected fill from wherever nor the truck traffic and that damage on our roads. Read more

When the ORMCP came into force in 2001, significant restrictions were placed on land uses within the Oak Ridges Moraine. All existing uses that did not comply with the ORMCP were frozen. Any new uses of the Oak Ridges Moraine were limited to those uses that conform with the ORMCP. Read more

As a local resident of Uxbridge and as a nearby neighbour of the Miller pit I am reaching out to the Miller group for their conscientious reconsideration of what they are proposing. As a citizen of Uxbridge I do appreciate the fact that the Miller group has provided many jobs in the region. Read more

This pit needs to be returned to it’s natural state. The fact that its located in an environmentally sensitive area and any further disruption of the pit may impact the water supply should be an automatic stop work order. Read more

Under their current license, Miller's Boyington #3 pit was to be rehabilitated where extraction is exhausted or by October 30th, 2015. After failing to comply with this deadline, Miller now wants to transform part of the property into an industrial site. Read more

I am totally opposed to any application for further use of the Miller (Boyington) pit. Why have Millers been allowed to be using this site for outdoor storage for so long illegally? Do the rules and regulations that are supposed to apply to everyone not apply to them? It would appear so. Read more

The aquifer needs to be protected at all costs. It is extremely important to the health and safety of all of its residents. It is quite obvious that one industry feels it has the right to put the health of residents at risk fir its own profit, without concern for the law. Read more
