Human health should be the most important consideration here and there is no question that what they are asking for is wrong. Do the people wanting to emit more pollution not have children? Family? People who are important to them? Do they not value their own health? Read more

At a time when everyone is suppose to be doing their part to cut emissions it is completely reckless to allow a corporation to increase its emissions. The little guy can only do so much its the corporations that are the big polluters and they need to be reigned back it not given more

I disagree with lessening the air quality standards by increasing the emissions output. Standards are already too low and releasing more emissions will have dire health effects for all ages who live in surrounding areas.

I strongly oppose this proposal. As a person suffering with environmental asthma and living in eastern Prince Edward County, allowing more toxic pollutants into the atmosphere is not acceptable. And it’s not just about me. Read more

This is not at all acceptable. There are clean ways to generate energy available today and with the capacity to produce power without negative environmental impacts over the next 10 years. Climate change is negatively affecting people on a global, national, and local scale. Read more

I am a resident in the area and I have concerns about increasing the levels of contaminants as this will have an impact on the health of all living near the generating station. They should have to meet current standards and should not receive an exemption.

This proposal is absurd. I am assuming that it is for the new build of two years ago. The assumption is that when it was built is would meet emission standards and now it cannot. The approval should never have been given if that is the case. Read more

I'm not sure why OPG would be granted to add more pollution to our already polluted atmosphere. Lung irritants that are present in the emissions will increase risks for those with asthma and other chronic lung issues. Beyond that, it will impact an already fragile ecosystem. Read more

To whom this may concern: This is, in my opinion, a socially irresponsible request and idea at a time when climate change is the largest problem facing Canadians. Very short sighted and disappointing. Get with the program please.

Many elderly people reside in the nearby town of Bath, which is considered by many to be a desirable retirement community. Increased air pollution should not be allowed at the Lennox site as it may adversely affect this medically vulnerable population.
