The Region of Waterloo has worked very hard with citizens to come up with a sustainable forward looking Plan. It provides for housing development while still protecting important farmland. It is important to the citizens of this region that the Plan be approved. Local input cannot be ignored!

On August 18, 2022, the Regional Municipality of Waterloo adopted Official Plan Amendment 6 by By-law 09-025. The official plan amendment is now before the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing for a decision in accordance with Sections 17 and 26 of the Planning Act.
