Bill 23 will not do anything to stop the ongoing housing crisis that cities in Ontario. In fact the bill will only make the crisis worse. For example, by stopping developers from having to pay development charges for affordable housing and inclusionary zoning. (Schedule 3, Section 2). Read more

The proposed plan is a disaster. The people of Ontario have previously made their thoughts on the Greenbelt known: it should remained unaltered. What is the purpose of having a protected region of the province if that region can be altered on the current government's whim? Read more

There are other areas in which we can develop for housing that is being overlooked. We start building on this land it will greatly impact our agriculture industry here in Ontario as well as pollution to environmentally sensitive land. This will also lead to Urban Sprawl. Read more

The Ontario government should focus on densifying current urban areas instead of more car-centric urban sprawl. Build more condos in the GTA instead of taking away land from the animals — whom we share our province and country with. We have all these parking lots everywhere, why not build there? Read more
