This plan is atrocious. You should be ashamed of yourselves. There are countless better ways to introduce new housing and increase density in appropriate areas without destroying the Green Belt.
The land proposal for lands south of Book Road in Ancaster are in the flight path to the Hamilton Airport and in the NEF area for the airport.

The green belt should be protected, and not sold off for development.
The original boundaries should be respected.
Urban density should be increased, and natural spaces and farmland should be preserved for their uses.
The proposed plan is a disaster. The people of Ontario have previously made their thoughts on the Greenbelt known: it should remained unaltered.
What is the purpose of having a protected region of the province if that region can be altered on the current government's whim?

There are other areas in which we can develop for housing that is being overlooked.
We start building on this land it will greatly impact our agriculture industry here in Ontario as well as pollution to environmentally sensitive land. This will also lead to Urban Sprawl.

This legislation will do irreparable harm to our quality of life. The people of Ontario put their trust in Doug Ford and he is harming us for the benefit of his developer friends.
The Ontario government should focus on densifying current urban areas instead of more car-centric urban sprawl. Build more condos in the GTA instead of taking away land from the animals — whom we share our province and country with. We have all these parking lots everywhere, why not build there?

There is an area of Greenbelt land approximately 1500 hectres in size, south of hwy 5 below the escarpment and west of hwy 6. The area includes York Rd. ,crosses Old Guelph Rd., and stretches toward the town of Dundas.
