This is not good for environment, not good for the people of Ontario, and is not effective policy to improve and solve housing issue carrently impacting renters.

The supporting materials for ERO-019-6217 Proposed Amendments to the Greenbelt Area boundary plan and ERO-019-6218 Proposed Redesignation of land under the Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Plan are the same, and I cannot easily determine which maps go with each proposals.

This proposal is abhorrent. The GTA is covered in uninhabited condos (built and in construction). The real housing issue at hand is a lack of rent control and a lack of policies to support residents.

Ontario resident here who opposes developing on or near the greenbelt due to ecologically sensitive areas, farmland, woodlots and wetlands that form a vital part of Ontario’s regional agricultural land and watershed system that should be saved, not turned into another subdivision.

The province has failed to demonstrate need based on any transparent criteria or evaluation. The only criteria appears to be that the landowner asked and had influence upon politicians. Were removals the province’s idea or the landowner?
