Please reconsider. The Greenbelt should be preserved. We have the places to build up and reduce urban sprawl while providing affordable homes. We need to protect our water ways and watersheds and the biodiversity they contain. We learned hard lessons with Walkerton.

Please don't do this. This will be a very short term "solution" while causing bigger long term irreversible damages. We need the green belt and it's not like you're going to build affordable housing.

I do not agree with the proposed legislation to convert Greenbelt into housing. The government should focus on intensification of density and unused or underutilizes space in existing urban/developed areas. Using the greenbelt will result in more greenhouse emissions from car transportation.

Lands opened up to development belong to PC party donors. This bill is intended to enrich them without regard to actually improving housing supply for ordinary people. There are many other options to improve the housing supply!

I oppose removal of Greenbelt lands for development. Ecological impact studies are important and should be carried out on all development projects and grey lands should be used before wetlands are touched to preserve our biodiversity and planet.
Opening the greenbelt won't provide the density needed. Single family homes aren't the problem. We need to infill within existing city boundaries. The people of Ontario will never forgive the PC party if we lose this land.
