Development in this area would be more detrimental to the environment and surrounding communities than any benefit it would gain. It would not be increasing any revenue for our economy but it would be increasing the number of expenses the province would have to endure.
Doug Ford quoted that his administration will not touch the greenbelt before getting re-elected as he said himself that most of us do not want the greenbelt touched as we do.

I completely disagree with this proposal and believe there are other more effective solutions to the housing crisis. The Greenbelt is conserved to ensure the ecological health of the region. It’s an area of cultural heritage and encourages recreation for human health.

Trying to pass this is deplorable. Ontario residents do not support this and you need to keep your promises. Our greenbelts need to be protected and what you are proposing goes completely against our values. Those areas need to STAY protected. Go build your mansions somewhere else.
I do not support opening any part of the green belt for development. This should always remain as protected space and should be untouchable. Very irresponsible to even consider building in these areas and a terrible idea.
This is beyond wasteful when there are so many existing properties that could be developed into residential housing without decimating preserved land we need to protect our wildlife and what remains of our air quality and lessen our impact on the environment.

Ruining wetlands for the sake of making more profits for your donors is abhorrent. Keep your promise not to touch the greenbelt and if you can’t trust yourself to keep the promise, that’s à crystal clear sign to resign!
This is the worst mistake Ford government can do to the current Canadiens and the future ones. Green Belt near a population center is an important thing to have.
This needs to stop. We need to protect the Greenbelt. Ford and his buddies have done enough to wreck ontario. Ford is clearly lining the pockets of rich friends who just so happened to own a lot of the land surrounding the proposed area.
