I am a young adult (late 20s) looking to buy his first house in the GTA. I disagree with and disapprove of removing or "substituting" any lands from the greenbelt. It sets a bad precedent to remove land we should be protecting for any reason. Read more

This proposal is an absolute sham and borderline criminal. It is particularly insulting as it stands to enrich developpers with NO GUARANTEE of benefits to the public. PUBLIC LAND SHOULD SERVE THE PUBLIC. If it is to be developped, it should be guaranteed community housing / afforbable housing. Read more

This areas that is being removed are parks and places were the community goes for there mental health, the one beside Newmarket my school took me to every year growing up. These lands are what make up Canada and the species that live in it we need to protects those. Read more

It is shameful that the Ford government has decided to pursue this project by developing on greenbelt protected land. Due diligence studies suggested the development on this land to accommodate highway that only saves a driver 5 mins travel time. Read more

The fact that the owners of the lands in the green belt changed hands to developers shortly before Ford's government put forth motions to allow development on said lands is clear evidence for an investigation into corruption of said government. Read more
