The Greenbelt is vital to the protection of our environment and needs to be preserved in its entirety.
Selling it off for high income housing and development is a great and uncorrectable mistake, and honestly, it stinks of political dishonesty.
I and my neighbours are strongly opposed to the current proposal to decrease the swath of greenbelt. Greenspace is crucial for the well-being of our communities and our ecosystem. We urge you to deny this proposal for development.
The general plan of developing our necessary ecological zones for the shortsightedness of building cookie cutter unaffordable single family dwelling homes on precious land is irresponsible and devastating.

Leave the Greenbelt alone! Develop within the existing cities. Improved housing is important, but not at the cost of protected lands when there are clearly other options.
I urge the Premier to:
withdraw the plan to remove lands from the Greenbelt;
get on with a meaningful Greenbelt expansion that reflects public input - repeatedly promised but never delivered by the Ford government;

The type of housing we need at this time is affordable housing right in the major centres for the working poor without cars - the folks who string together two or three jobs, as well as first home buyers just getting started in life.

I disagree with the proposed change to the greenbelt. The changes will not solve the housing issue, will destroy critical habitat, destroy wetlands and lead to increased flooding, will raise taxes, and will significantly decrease the quality of life for Ontarians. I am opposing to these changes.
