This is a farce. Greenbelt needs to continue to maintain quality of life and some kind of incorporation of balance between urban and natural environment. ONce lost we will never get it back.
The Ford government needs to leave the Greenbelt alone. With climate change happening, every green space in Ontario is needed and is vitally important. To interfere with the Greenbelt in any context will be detrimental to our push back against climate cjange. LEAVE THINGS AS THEY ARE!!
This is a very short sighted policy. There are many other ways to create housing in the province without damaging the environment and our clean drinking water. Reminds me of the short term thinking of previous governments with the sale of the 407.

I am greatly opposed to the removal of lands from the greenbelt for the purpose of housing. The Housing Affordability Task Force said there is no shortage of land available elsewhere for housing .

The Greenbelt is intended to protect gathering of drinkable water for down line communities (like mine), to provide movement routes for wildlife, and to protect arable land so that we can produce FOOD, you know, the stuff that we eat??
