Please revoke Bill 23, there is no going back once the green belt is destroyed. These lands are meant to be protected! Allowing builders to profit from land that will have irreversible, harmful consequences is wrong. The government needs to start listening to the people of this province!
When it was initiated in 2005, Ontario's Greenbelt offered permanent protection to two million hectares of productive farmland and environmentally sensitive areas from sprawl and unsustainable development.

One more broken promise by the Dishonourable Doug Ford. He obviously has no respect for the Green Belt, the environment or the taxpayers. Shame on him.
Please do not make such a rash decision in altering the greenbelt that was created to PROTECT our environment. There has to be a better way. Lead with a good example to show those coming on that we care about conservation. There has to be another solution to this problem.
Why is it that a government that purports to support reduced greenhouse gases then proposes to destroy sensitive ecosystems in the name of furthering urban sprawl? Your hypocrisy is clearly on display.

This proposal will harm the future of Ontario. The greenbelt plays a valuable role. Rushing through buildings without the proper procedures is not the answer. There is already land slated for development and there can be further urban densification.
