I have seen first hand how you have mishandled The Green Belt in Waterdown, Oakville and Burlington where previously very fertile farmland that should have fallen under the Green Belt and been protected has been overdeveloped into thousands of houses. Read more

I want to say very simply , that there is desperate need of for more housing!!! People are building homes behind their parents home , on their property because they can’t find and can’t afford to pay the high cost to pay for a property. Please take 019-6216 out of the green belt Thank you

I do not agree with any proposals to develop the green belt. We need to sustain the green belt- it’s a key ecological decision to uphold as it role models to the world the environmental protections that are possible given our current and future climate issues.

Land should not be taken out of the Greenbelt. Protected Greenbelt areas should be expanded, not contracted. Urban sprawl on currently protected areas will not help Ontario's housing crisis. Low income high density housing and better urban planning is what is needed. Read more

There is no reason that we should decimate our procious natural heritage to address the housing crisis, other than abject greed. We should prioritize densification and the development of brown fields, as well as intensifying urban development. Read more

Please do not touch the Green Belt. This is supposed to be protected land. Please keep Ontario beautiful and protect it’s wildlife and natural lush areas. We have lot’s of land to build residential properties on that is not on the Green Belt. Read more

This is an important issue to comment on. As a citizen of Ontario, I am opposed to touching any part of the Greenbelt for single use housing. Southern Ontario has the best agricultural land in Canada and we cannot depend on foreign imports for all our food needs. Read more

There are enough other places to build. Governments are coming together for summits, scientists are proving the earth is in crisis mode and we are destroying our planet yet Ford believes opening the green belt is a super idea. We need this land protected .
