The Greenbelt plays a critical role in how this province functions. Removing and relocating land from the Greenbelt will have detrimental effects, especially to the economy. The best way to combat the housing crisis is to change zoning regulations in cities so that more dense housing can be built.

I reject the rationale for the deletions proposed in this notice. The Greenbelt was intended to protect lands forever. Designations under these plans were not intended to be reclassified for the convenience of a developer. To do so greatly undermines the credibility of the province.

Farmland is now endangered because of government greed. Don’t try to sway us ‘with adding land’ to the Greenbelt. This government is full of lies.
We need housing!! Remove these lands from the Greenbelt! There is a net INCREASE IN GREENBELT. Please be honest in recognizing this and that these proposed removed lands are, in Hamilton, adjacent to a highway and Walmart!
