The current government was not elected with a mandate to open up the Greenbelt. The precedent that this is setting is alarming. Please reconsider this dangerous action.

Leave the greenbelt alone. Analysis after analysis has shown that more housing can be constructed in existing higher density neighbourhoods (not to mention that this bill will actually reduce the amount of affordable housing, not increase it).

I feel the Greenbelt is urgently needed to protect habitat and provide natural buffers against impacts of climate change. Ontario had the foresight to set this land aside 50 years ago and it would be folly to go against that wise act now.
