Is there a plan to offset any carbon that had been sequestered in the soil of the thousands of acres being converted to housing? Soil has a huge potential for carbon sequestration and we will need to offset the disturbance of all that soil for development.

I am against removal of any of the existing Greenbelt. This is a plan that goes backwards against protecting what we have and what has already been deemed as worthy of protecting. Swapping out land does not protect the delicate ecosystems within the existing protected land. Read more

Keep your election promise! This will start a dangerous precedent and risk losing more green space during an obvious climate crisis. In addition, the land the government is adding as part of thee swap is already afforded some protection which is incredibly misleading.
