I have voted conservative in every election since I turned 18 years old. I will not vote for provincial conservatives again if one single acre of the greenbelt is sold off. This is the blatant type of corporate corruption that goes on within the LPC. Read more

I'm fine if area is taken from the Greenbelt for housing but for every acre taken two acres elsewhere should be protected. I'd also prefer see more push from your government for family sized condos/apartments in the city to lessen the sprawl in the GTA.

Page 10 of MMAH's Report of the Ontario Housing Affordability Task Force states: "But a shortage of land isn’t the cause of the problem. Land is available, both inside the existing built-up areas and on undeveloped land outside greenbelts." Read more

This is ecologically destructive and will contribute to our climate crisis. The Greenbelt is there to protect and filter our water and air and damage to it cannot be undone - turning it into another paved car-centric region will have terrible environmental consequences. Read more

Doug Ford got in promising not to mess with the greenbelt. It was designed to protect watersheds, farmland, and wildlife . Once it is gone we can never get it back. The substitutions proposed are laughable, many of them are already protected. Housing is needed in cities, not in the greenbelt. Read more
