We need to protect lands in the greenbelt from development. Government should be focusing on revitalizing and intensifying downtown cores rather than pulling more people out to suburbs and allowing downtowns to die. Read more

We should not build additional housing in the Greenbelt area. There is plenty of undeveloped or underdeveloped land within the current municipal boundaries. And creating more suburban housing will lead to an increase in traffic congestion and seal environmentally sensitive land.

The Greenbelt was established for a purpose - to keep some areas natural for the health of the region, the local wildlife, forests, water, air and overall health & beauty of the area. "Ontario’s Greenbelt protects farmland, communities, forests, wetlands and watersheds. Read more
