I am opposed to the removal of areas in the Protected Countryside and Natural Heritage Systems designations in the Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Plan, and the re-designation of these lands as Settlement areas. Read more

This is a terrible mistake, it should not be put through. Once the green belt is paved over or more houses are built on it…there is no going back. Doug Ford promised he would not touch the green belt and as soon as he was elected …he flipped on his promise. Read more

I'm disappointed to see that this is even becoming an option. The Oak Ridges Moraine is responsible for most of your water supply. Messing with Moraine will make the gta worse off over time. I do agree that we need to expand development but the Moraine should not be part of this expansion. Read more

Questionable timing for developers to have purchased land adjacent to the greenbelt! I very much disagree with the development of these sensitive lands. Please stop pandering to the folks who live in the yellowbelt of the GTA. Opportunity exists in improving density of housing. Read more

All areas of greenbelt land in Southern Ontario must be preserved, particularly farmland to prevent potential food insecurity. Therefore I am strongly against this proposal. Infill is more appropriate than the sprawl being proposed by this government. Read more

ERO submission #019-6218 I object to the proposal to redesignate lands in the Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Plan Area for residential development. This proposal would undo decades of work to protect environmentally important land. An article in Ecology and Society nicely summarizes this: Read more

I am opposed to Bill 23 which includes ERO-019-6216 /6217 /6218. This action is regressive and will not result in more homes built faster. All Bill 23 and Bill 39 will do is cost the taxpayer bilions of dollars and make developers wealthier. Read more

The Greenbelt needs to continue to be conserved natural land. Once "redesignated" (destroyed), it's gone for good. There is a catastrophic amount of natural land being bulldozed for the use of the rich to develop as they please. Read more

The government should leave the Oak Ridges Moraine Intact and look for quickly developable lands elsewhere within urban boundaries. The Oak Ridges Moraine and it's lands are more ecologically and agriculturally valuable than ever, especially because of development pressures. Read more
