I agree with the proposal and changes. I would like the length of stay to be reduced to maximum of 3 days(not even 7 ) so that more users would be able to travel through theses sites and areas.

I am in support of FOCA's response which encourages the proposed exclusions, whereby floating accommodations or float homes are not considered as “camping units” and thus, cannot be placed and used for overnight accommodation on water over public land. Read more

As a taxpayer on the Severn Waterway, I am extremely alarmed about these floating homes and am very much in favour of regulation. They are a danger ( traffic, collisions), they are environmental hazards and they pay no fees or taxes. Read more

There is no need to make these changes. Government needs to stop exercising more control of the people. Unless there is a danger to the individual vessel, other vessels, navigation or the environment - a vessel should not be required to change its mooring position at all. Read more

I support this proposal whole heartedly. I am a property owner on the Severn River and care deeply about our natural resources and the impact these unregulated "floating cottages" are having on our environment. It's a very important and necessary change. Read more

I understand that the amendments regarding the 21-day limit and distances from developed shoreline have been recalled. I don’t know why these would be removed from consideration before the consultation process was over. Read more
