Please stop cutting into our earth and removing whatever you like - destroying our home is not in our best interest. Please focus efforts into reusing and recycling the minerals we already have in operation as humans - to take it all is not sustainable.

I think this is good step in reducing unnecessary red tape with no compromise to environmental rehabilitation. Finally some support for an important industry in the province. More mines being built, more mining investment flowing into the province its a win win. Read more

If these proposed mines are located on First Nation lands, it should be up to those First Nations to make the decision whether a mine is build or not. Not the Ontario government, not the Federal government, not the Crown. If it is in their territory, they should be the ones who decide yes or no.

The proposed amendments are entirely vague and without substance, effectively they would give the Minister carte blanche to do as he sees fit. Not appropriate whatsoever. There needs to be tighter governance on these proposed changes and how they are implemented. Read more
