It was absolutely criminal that these lands were ever removed from the Greenbelt. This government is unbelievably corrupt and cares only about siphoning public funds to developers. Restore the greenbelt lands. And next - it’s time to investigate the corruption behind the changes at Ontario Place.

As a resident of Ontario, I strongly support returning lands to the Greenbelt. They never should have been considered for removal in the first place, and especially not under such obviously corrupt circumstances-- the Ford government is on thin ice. Read more

Put the lands back. It’s a shame that this consultation is even being done. This tells us that you are more concerned with your reputation and impression management rather than protecting the environment. Stop operating like the mob and put the lands back. Read more

The Greenbelt nature, farmland, and wetlands must be protected. Thus the 413 and Bradford Bypass must not be built through it, no quarries allowed on it, and more land needs to be added to protect vulnerable watersheds and farmland! Read more

Greenbelt lands MUST be protected forever. Increasing the size of the greenbelt whenever possible is also highly desirable. Some land within the greenbelt should be assessed to see if environmental services could be improved…such as reforestation and wetland enhancements.

I am committed to protecting the Greenbelt. No paying for the privilege to develop - leave it alone!! Where possible, return the land to Indigenous peoples. No encroachment if any kind- Ontario needs to build housing via infil and save agricultural land and protect environment Read more

As a resident of north Pickering for over 50 years, we have seen many changes, including the threat of an airport. The Greenbelt represents an irreplaceable collection of lands that belong to us all and the generations to come. They are also very important parts of wildlife corridors. Read more

I was most relieved when The Ford government reversed the “gratuitous grab” of parts of our Green Belt. The fact that there could be any such plan showed me the duplicitous nature of our government. Read more
