This will only serve to make things easier for developers to build on wetlands and greenspace with less regulation. Building on wetlands increases climate change (bogs and forests are carbon sinks) and will increase flooding and water damage. Read more

Urban boundaries should be decided by municipalities. They are able to determine where and when to do this better than the Province. Individuals with lots of money to make on land speculation should not be allowed to influence where urban boundaries are expanded. Read more

My family lives a few minutes from these proposed developments & it's no wonder there has been such vehement protests against this further over development of this area. I left my home @ 9 a.m. to get to a doctor's appointment in Dundas, assuming that 'rush hour' would be winding down. It wasn't. Read more

I appreciate that the government ultimately abided by the will of the people. I also think it is unfortunate that the provincial government saw fit to spend such an exorbitant amount of time, resources, money, and public attention on an unpopular and impractical way of resolving the housing crisis. We should vote down this new legislation to reverse Whitebelt boundary expansions and leave things as they are for future growth intended to Build Homes. We are in a housing crisis and we must build new homes for Canadians to have any hope of one day owning a home
