A decision was made on January 27, 2025 to approve with modifications, Official Plan Amendment 692 adopted pursuant to sections 17 and 26 of the Planning Act by By-law 1162-2023. Notice of this decision was issued on January 27, 2025 to the City of Toronto.
The adopted Official Plan Amendment 692 was reviewed for consistency with provincial plans and policies and regard for matters of provincial interest set out in the Planning Act. Official Plan Amendment 692 implements the policies of the Provincial Planning Statement. Official Plan Amendment 692 proposes one site specific employment conversion and one Site and Area Specific Policy. One modification has been made by the Minister to ensure that Official Plan Amendment 692 is consistent with the policies of the Provincial Planning Statement and complies with applicable legislation.
Pursuant to subsections 17 (36.5) and (38.1) of the Planning Act, this decision is final and not subject to appeal. Accordingly, Official Plan Amendment 692, as modified and approved by the Minister, came into effect on January 28, 2025.
Effects of consultation
As a result of public consultation on Official Plan Amendment 692, the Ministry received a total of one comment through the Environmental Registry of Ontario, and no additional comments through email to Ministry staff.
The comment received through the public consultation process was on behalf of the landowner of the site subject to OPA 692.The comment indicates support for the redesignation proposed through OPA 692.
All comments reviewed were taken into consideration, prior to a decision being made.

Proposal details
On November 9, 2023, the City of Toronto adopted Official Plan Amendment 692 pursuant to sections 26 and 17 of the Planning Act by By-law 1162-2023. This amendment is now before the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing for a decision under the Planning Act.
Official Plan Amendment 692 proposes new and updated policies and mapping, related to one employment conversion. The amendment applies to Map 2 Urban Structure, Map 13 Land Use Plan, and adds a site and area specific policy to Chapter 7 of the City of Toronto Official Plan.
