Ontario Power Generation Inc. - Environmental Compliance Approval (sewage)

The proposal is for an amendment to an existing Environmental Compliance Approval No. 2951-CPCMNQ for industrial stormwater management works serving the proposed expansion of the Ontario Power Generation Darlington site, located at Holt Road, in Darlington, Ontario.

The stormwater management works are associated with the proposed development of a construction access road to a proposed permanent storage area for surplus soil from site excavation and construction activities from the Darlington New Nuclear Project.

The works for this Environmental Compliance Approval amendment are for roadside ditches and an outlet enhanced swale for a north-south construction haul road, adjacent to Holt Road on the Darlington site. The works are within the Darlington Creek watershed and will comprise Stormwater Quality Control and Quantity Control via the enhanced swale, and Erosion and Sediment Control works during construction, and will discharge to existing drainage features north of the CN Rail corridor, and eventually to Darlington Creek.
