Establishment of industrial stormwater management Works for the collection, transmission, treatment and disposal of stormwater run-off from a total catchment area of 11.41 hectares (to be developed for a Refrigerated Warehousing and Storage Facility), to provide Enhanced Level water quality protection and erosion control.
This is also to attenuate post-development peak flows to pre-development or allowable peak flows for all storm events up to and including the 100-year storm event, discharging to the existing Sixteen Mile Creek, consisting of Enhanced Grassed swales, located along the north and south property lines of the site around the perimeter,on-site storm sewers, two (2) Infiltration tanks, and Treatment in a lined wetland/wet pond with 2 sediment forebays, outlet control structure, four (4) 500 mm diameter outlet pipes and a 300 mm deep, 30.0 m wide emergency spillway to avoid pond flooding in case of unusual storms and regualra outlet pipe blockage.
The pondwater ultimately to discharge at a combined peak flow rate of 0.963 m3/s during the 1:100 year storm under ultimate development conditions into existing twin 1200 mm diameter corrugated steel pipe culvert under Highway 407 and into an existing MTO stormwater management pond prior to release to a tributary to 16 Mile creek;

1. Prepare your application
You’ll need to prepare an application. You may wish to include the following things in your application:

What is considered
The appeal body will consider the following two questions in deciding whether to grant you leave to appeal:

Proposal details
The proposal is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval for industrial stormwater management works serving Conestoga Cold Storage, located in the Town of Halton Hills at 16408 Steeles Avenue (formerly 7869 10th Line).
The stormwater management works comprise of Stormwater Quality Control, Quantity Control, and Erosion Control Works (during construction) designed to support full build out of the industrial parcel straddling both sides of the former 10th Line south of Steeles Avenue.
The works are proposed to include a network of on-site catchbasins, maintenance holes, storm sewers/ditches, below grade and surface storage, and a stormwater management wet pond complete with two inlet forebays. The system will discharge to a culvert under Highway 407 and into an MTO stormwater management pond prior to release to a tributary to 16 Mile Creek.
