Proposal details
Official Plan Amendment 124 was adopted by the City of London on September 24, 2024, by By-law No. C.P.-1512(du)-223. The submission was received on October 09, 2024, and deemed complete on October 24, 2024. The ministry is seeking feedback on the council adopted OPA and will review all comments before recommendations are provided to the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing for a decision in accordance with sections 17 and 26 of the Planning Act.
The Official Plan Amendment (OPA 124) amends the maximum building heights across all place types, ensuring a cohesive policy approach to urban growth. This amendment will also revise policies within the Transit Village Place Type to allow for new Transit Villages, specifically surrounding the area of 100 Kellogg Lane. Additionally, it seeks to create and identify Strategic Growth Areas, and Major Shopping Areas to support targeted development and urban density.
