This proposal is incredibly destructive to the natural species and habitats unique to Ontario, and must be abandoned. Ontario has more to gain in a future of true and effective conservation, built upon standards that already exist — not by scaling back the current ones in existence. Read more

I do strongly oppose, and am incredibly dismayed by this proposed legislation. It is unthinkable that we would dismantles essential protections for endangered wildlife and ecosystems and ignore the rights and sovereignty of Indigenous communities in the name of short term economic gain. Read more

These acts exist for a reason. We are now seeing species come back after decades. There was a bald eagle in Toronto and no one wanted to say where the nest was because it was so special and rare. Read more

This is a dangerous and awful proposal that will unavoidably and irreversibly damage the natural beauty of Ontario; such a proposal serves only to enrich people at the expense of the environment and should not be allowed to pass.

The laws are fine the way they are. It is completely reasonable for the Government to be forced to slow down and consider the ramifications of it's projects if they could have cause endangered species to go extinct.

This new act does not reflect what is best for Ontario wildlife and habitats. We need to protect our wildlife and leave the pre-established protections in place. We NEED to be focusing on being efficient WITHOUT sacrificing the protections of our animals and their habitats.
