The environment and protecting endangered species should be our top priority not making it easier for corporations to by-base intentional processes to make it easier for them to do whatever they want to make money as quickly as possible.

Please do not pass this bill. We may not have a complete inventory of the wildlife that inhabits this land, but we know that habitat destruction has permanent and profound consequences. Once their home is gone, the lasting effects on these animals and the wider ecosystem will be irreversible. Read more

I oppose bill 5. I want stronger environmental protections and the protection of endangered species. Without the protection of endangered species they will inevitably go extinct. There's proof of that in the past and we as people missed out of those past extinct animals. Read more

When will we put the health and sustainability of our planet above profits? This is yet another example of our politicians driving full speed into a brick wall without thinking about what it will actually mean for us, our children and our grandchildren.

This bill is despicable trickery and you should be ashamed. At a time when we should be protecting the environment and what little protected green spaces we have left, this bill is completely backwards. Not only that but it makes a mockery of democracy and the democratic process. Read more

I OPPOSE BILL 5. I want better environment protections, not for them to go to the rich few where they will destroy the ecosystem without any oversight. I want the land to be taken care off for the next generation. Read more

I oppose this bill. It does not prioritize Ontarian's. it allows selective priority to be given to industries at the expense of our environment. We need more environmental regulation and protections not less.

I greatly oppose Premier Ford's attempt at ignoring our democratic freedoms with Bill 5. It is greatly irresponsible of him to do so, both in regards to the environment in Ontario, as well as to our rights to democratic representation. Read more

I oppose Bill 5 for its dangerous ramifications for Ontario’s wildlife and environmental protection. The lack of public oversight for industry is concerning and the exemptions to the law for special economic zones sets an alarming precedent. Read more
