The proposed dump in Dresden is not well thought out. There are many other areas in the province that are better equipped and would result in far less environmental degradation than implementing in a small town in SW Ontario.

I am so upset and angry! How can anyone think a dump on the town limit be of any benefit to anyone except York 1. This is a small town struggling to grow. Nobody wants a dump in their backyard, especially one that will have such an affect on our water ways! Read more

Every company including York1 should be subjected to complete an environmental assessment, especially when a waste disposal site is in play. There are endangered species in Molly’s Creek which would be directly impacted by the waste disposal site. Read more

Please listen to the citizens of Dresden as they navigate through a challenging decision. I personally have not researched enough about the new proposed landfill to have a proper say. I only know that if I it were to go through it would possibly smell, make more traffic in Dresden downtown core. Read more

The landfill site of York 1is a massive environmental hazard that cannot be allowed to proceed. This site has a direct connection to the Sydenham River, which is home to over 33 species at risk. The salamander mussel is the only known habitat to exist in Canada. Read more
