Proposal details

This proposal is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) Industrial Sewage application for I.A. Fletcher Holdings Inc. This application is for the collection, transmission and disposal of stormwater runoff at I.A. Fletcher Holdings Inc.’s Compost Facility (waste transfer and processing facility) located at 310 Riverside Drive, Nanticoke, Ontario (site).

The proposed stormwater management (SWM) works include upgrades to existing swales, installation of new vegetated swales, an oil/grit separator (OGS) unit, and a water quality treatment wet pond equipped with isolation valves at the outlet structure. Stormwater from the Site will be directed to the vegetated swales and conveyed to the downstream OGS unit and wet pond to provide treatment for all stormwater runoff from the proposed development prior to ultimately discharging towards Nanticoke Creek. This treatment train approach is intended to improve water quality from the entire Site and promote controlled discharge to the natural environment.
