On November 10, 2023, Ontario filed amendments to O. Reg. 679/21 (Community Net Metering Projects) and O. Reg. 389/10 (General) to remove administrative burden and clarify regulatory requirements to support innovation and customer choice. The amendments will come into effect on January 1, 2024.

The Director of Exploration has made a decision on the exploration permit application PR-23-000304 to 2681891 Ontario Incorporated for early exploration activities.

On November 23, 2023, an amendment to O.Reg. 509/18, made under the Electricity Act, 1998 was filed to introduce rolling incorporation of Ontario’s efficiency standards with Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) efficiency standards for 24 space and water heating products regulated by Ontario and NRCan.
