A decision was made on September 5, 2025, to approve the City of Cambridge Official Plan Amendment 87, as adopted by By-law 24-123. The Official Plan Amendment 87 proposes to add a site-specific policy to permit a maximum density of 61 units per hectare for the lands municipally known as 36 Elliott Street.
We have amended Ontario’s Blue Box Regulation (O. Reg. 391/21) under the Resource Recovery and Circular Economy Act, 2016. These changes are designed to maintain existing recycling services while addressing rising system costs and providing producers with greater flexibility and regulatory certainty.
Ontario will proceed with updates to the Technical Guideline for the Cleaner Transportation Fuels regulation. It will include a modified pathway that could be used to calculate the lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions intensity of bio-based content. The Technical Guideline will be updated for this pathway.
