Four policies (three updated and one new) have been developed to align with the requirements of the Aggregate Resources Act, O Reg 244/97 and the Aggregate Resources of Ontario: Technical Report and Information Standards (the Standards).There are also 28 policies being rescinded due to outdated guidance or that are no longer necessary.

We have issued an amended ECA No. A030303 to Waste Management of Canada Corporation (WM), to adjust the hours of operation of the Township of Enniskillen Transfer Station that operates on WM property located at 4052 Oil Heritage Road, in Petrolia, Ontario, and update the ECA to reflect the site conditions.

An amendment to Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) No. A680121 was issued to Safety-Kleen Canada Inc. to add Waste Class Codes.

The Ministry received feedback on proposed updates to the Projection Methodology Guideline (PMG) to support implementation of the Provincial Planning Statement (PPS), 2024 policies related to growth forecasts and land needs. The ministry has issued a new Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) for industrial sewage works to Ontario Power Generation Inc., located at 1 Holt Road South in the community of Bowmanville in the Municipality of Clarington, Ontario.

A decision was made on March 16, 2026, to approve, with modifications, a new Official Plan of the Municipality of Temagami, to achieve consistency with provincial policies, and to manage and direct physical (land use) change within the municipality.

Permit to Take Water No. P-300-4372767696 (version 1) has been issued to 233859 Ontario Limited, for golf course irrigation purposes.

Permit to Take Water No. P-300-8369658816 was issued on December 19, 2025, to renew Permit to Take Water No. 1184-9Z4PEC for the purpose of golf course irrigation. Water will be taken from one irrigation pond and Lake Huron, for 10 years.
